The process of becoming a hobby farm has been a slow one. We first started with a baby chick that my oldest daughter brought home from school. We then got a few rabbits and started in 4-H. We now have chickens, rabbits, ducks, goats, sheep, llamas, alpaca, and a couple of horses. I was trying to find things to do with all the wonderful natural products we were getting when I stumbled unto goat milk soap. I soon discovered that it helped both my blond haired and blue eyed daughters with eczema and other sensitive skin issues. I was soon making enough soap to sell. My mind was going crazy, why not sell my knitting? Why not sell the fiber I get every spring? The possibilities are endless!!
The next thing I knew, I was buying my first laser cutter and making stitch markers. My focus completely changed as both girls grew into adults and left the nest. I am now going wild with the laser cutter and all the things that bring joy into my life. I try to make things that bring joy!
